Tejasvi Surya - A rising political star is known as Lakya Suryanarayana Tejasvi Surya, born on November 16, 1990, in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, is an Indian politician, lawyer, and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He represents the Bangalore South constituency in the 17th Lok Sabha and has been serving as the president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha since September 26, 2020. He completed his high school at Sri Kumaran Children's Home and pursued a bachelor's degree in law from Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies.
Career
He started his career in the 2019 lok sabha elections, at the age of 28, Surya contested from the Bangalore South constituency. His candidacy was notable due to his age and his stepping into the shoes of a respected leader. He won the election, becoming one of the youngest members of parliament.
On March 6, 2025, Surya was married Sivasri Skandaprasad a Bhatatnatyam dancer, in a traditional ceremony in Bengaluru. Several state and national BJP leaders attended his marriage ceremony.
Sivasri, from Chennai, holds a bachelor's degree in bio-engineering from SASTRA University and master's degrees in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras and in Sanskrit from Madras Sanskrit College.
